Amherst Crane Rentals was originally founded in 1962 and its sister company, Amherst Concrete Pumping, was introduced in 1967. Amherst Crane & Concrete Pumping stands out for its extensive fleet of state-of-the-art cranes, ranging from small to large capacities, servicing a variety of industries.

A LOOK BACK
Gradually a succession of the Welstead
children joined the company; first the
eldest son David, who was a pioneer in
the concrete pumping industry, then daughter Valerie (Brennan), sons Terry, and Jonathan, followed by two nephews, Mark and Christopher.
Together they rose from a fledgling
Canadian enterprise into a company that
has become one of Canada’s most renowned
and successful companies in the heavy
equipment rental industry.
